MMMP Rule 1.17.5:
Seedling – Seedling means a marijuana plant that has no flowers (buds), is less than 12 inches in height and diameter. A plant that does not meet all three criteria will not be considered a seedling.

MMMP Rule 4.10.1.2:
“Incidental amount of marijuana. A qualifying patient may possess an incidental amount of marijuana.”

MMMP Rule 4.10.1.2.1:
“Incidental amount of marijuana per patient means… an unlimited amount of marijuana seedlings…”

These are the bad boys (well, girls actually) that we were talking about in yesterdays “Strain of the Month” post.

August strain of the month – THC Bomb!…

Medical Marijuana Clones
“THC Bomb has big, rock-hard buds”

Strain of The Month” is something we hope to start doing on a regular basis, it will allow us to share details, reviews and other information about the medical marijuana strains we offer to our patients. The kind of information that will help you decide what strain you want to invest your time and money in, that is the best fit for your medical needs and grow experience.

We are starting this off with a patient (and our) favorite, THC Bomb from Bomb Seeds, their original and signature strain.

Similar to Big Bud, you will see really big, rock-hard buds that ends in a larger than normal harvest despite the fact that this is a relatively short plant (great for indoor grows). Add to that are the explosively high THC levels of 20-25% (when grown in ideal conditions). Speaking of growing, this is a very hardy, easy plant to grow (even for beginners) in soil or hydroponically. Obviously those growing outdoors in dirt will experience the largest yields.

Because of these qualities (and others) we confidently recommend the THC Bomb to first time growers.

And when it’s time to harvest your buds will be covered, literally, in frosty white trichromes.

“The Bomb is covered with frosty white trichromes”

THC Bomb is unique on so many levels: yield size, medicine strength, flavor and fast budding!

THC Bomb was created in the Netherlands by Bomb Seeds, is a hybrid strain (combination of Indica and Sativa genetics), but is Indica dominant (75% Indica and 25% Sativa).

Medical uses include treatment of insomnia, stress/anxiety, pain relief and appetite stimulation. This is what Leafly has to say about THC Bomb:

Growing details:

Plant Height: Short (2-3 feet)
Flowering Time Indoor: 55 – 65 days (~60 days)
THC: Very High (20-25%)
Yield: Very High (550-650g/m²)
Grow Difficulty: Easy
High: Strong, all round buzz

Patient reviews of THC Bomb:

“Very good medicine. Amazing yield. Nice hard buds. Many strong side branches with big long buds and it was amazing.

Very resinous strain. Long side branches with heavy big buds need support. Good for muscle spasms do to MS, works well as appetite stimulant. Those are things I noticed.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED STRAIN!!!

Lastly, because we have a limited number of THC Bomb clones available we are limiting patients to a max of one 6-pack and (sorry) but your free 7th plant will be of a different strain.

If you are interested in getting your hands on this hearty, potent, easy to grow medical marijuana clone you can reach us via email (Info@MaineSeedlings.com), text us (1-207-613-5650) or leave us a voicemail to place an order, setup an appointment, or ask any questions.

It was a busy delivery day today…

There are going to be some happy patients today because we are delivering their medical marijuana clones.

A video posted by Marijuana Clones (@marijuanaclones) on

We are giving away free marijuana clones…

Medical Marijuana Clone
Yes, the headline is correct, we are giving away medical marijuana clones… for free, nada, nothing, zip, gratis… but this isn’t something new as we’ve been giving away clones since 2014.

If you got a 6-pack of clones from us not only did you get great clones at a discounted price, we ALWAYS threw in a 7th clone for free!

We never told patients about this, we wanted to send them away feeling like they got much more than they expected, so when they came to pick up their clones it was like “surprise!“.

Because we have been doing this for while and have many patients who have received their marijuana clones from us over multiple grow seasons it has become less and less of a surprise.

So today we are making it official policy at Maine Seedlings & Clones, for every 6-pack you get from us you will also receive 1 free clone!

The math is simple, get 1 6-pack = you get 1 free clone, 2 6-packs = 2 free clones, 3 6-packs = 3 free clones… but it does top out at 4 free clones.

There are only two stipulations:

  1. You have to be a Maine Medical Marijuana Patient (or a patient from another state that has applied for and received reciprocity from the state of Maine).

2. We do our best to accommodate patient strain requests for the 7th (free) clone, but there are times we can’t, so the final decision is ours to make.

REEFER MADNESS! You can’t make this stuff up!

Maine Medical Marijuana
Reefer Madness
is a movie that was made in the middle 1930’s to propagandize the evils that would befall people who dared to smoke “the evil weed“, marijuana.

Even crazier than the plot of Reefer Madness, is the fact that it was actually used as “evidence” to help influence marijuana laws!

If you haven’t seen “Reefer Madness the Movie” you really should head over to YouTube and watch it right now for free.

Well, here’s a story plucked from this weeks news that is just as stupid.

The rocket scientists running the Town of Hugo Colorado warned its residents to not use the town water “for at least 48 hours after a field testing kit showed the possible THC contamination“.

Seriously?

Sorry to say yes.

Which begs two really simple questions:

1. Who would have access to that much THC oil that they can contaminate a towns well?

2. Considering the fact that concentrates are not water soluble (that water/oil thing), wouldn’t you be able to actually see it in the water?

DUH!?!

If you see a silly marijuana (translation = stupid) story in the news please email it to us so we can share it with the class.

Update on Spectrum King LED lights…

Maine Medical Marijuana
Just wanted to add a couple things to our recent post about Spectrum King LED lights:

1. Another guarantee Spectrum King provides for all their lights (and we failed to mention) is that for any reason, within the first 30 days if you are not completely satisfied with the lights you can return them for a full refund, no restocking charge, no handling fee, none of that crap. You can check out their FAQ page here.

2. Also, not only is the “Mothers Lil Helper” on sale (for $199), so is their “Closet Case Grow Light” (also just $199).

As soon as I am done with this post I am heading over to Spectrum King to grab several “Closet Case Grow Lights” to add to our grow arsenal.

The best LED lights available are now on sale!…

Maine Medical Marijuana
I don’t often recommend to people that they should plunk down their hard earned money on a product I have not yet tried and tested  myself, actually I never have, until now that is.

LED lights have been on our radar for awhile and we’ve been watching the LED lights from Spectrum King in particular (because of the quality of their American made lights and the people behind them) and I can honestly say I have never done so much research before making a purchase before and I am so sure about what we’ve learned that we knew when the time came to make the move to LED’s Spectrum King were going to be the lights we bought.

Maine Medical Marijuana
Well, that time came as we are in the process of building out a new mother and clone room so we were facing the decision about (what) lighting which then morphed into the discussion of when we would should begin our transition to LED’s, but when we saw that Spectrum King had put their “Mother’s Lil Helperon sale for just $199 it was a no brainer, our transitioning to LED’s was starting now, LED LIGHTS HERE WE COME!

We have been using T5 lights for years, here are most of the costs associated with using them over 3 years (as that is the warranty period for the “Mother’s Lil Helperand a 4 foot 4 light T5 unit have roughly the same coverage area) :

1. The initial cost of the lighting fixture (4 foot – 4 bulb T5 fixture roughly $150)

2. The cost of the first set of bulbs (4 bulbs – Hortilux veg $30 each – $120)

3. The cost of replacing those bulbs every 9-12 months (4 bulbs – Hortilux veg $30 each – $120 over 3 years $240)

4. The cost of cooling (trust me, you put enough T5’s in a room and you will need to evacuate the heat!)

5. The cost of running these lights (55 watts per bulb – 210 watts total for a 4 bulb unit – so the monthly cost is more than 4 times the cost of the Mother’s Lil Helper)

6. The cost of the cooling device (air conditioner, mini-split, etc.) for removing heat from the grow room (unknown – but not cheap!)

So, not including the electrical cost of running AND cooling T5 lights you would spend $510 out of pocket over three years. A side note, the bulbs and fixtures only have a 12 month warranty at best (“Mother’s Lil Helper” comes with a 3 year warranty).

With “Mother’s Lil Helper“:

1. The initial cost of the unit (sale price $199)

2. cost of the first set of bulbs ($0)

3. The cost of replacing those bulbs every 9-12 months ($0)

4. The cost of cooling ($0)

5. The cost of running these lights (each “Mother’s Lil Helper” has the power consumption of a single 100 watt light bulb!)

6. The cost of the cooling device (air conditioner, mini-split, etc.) for cooling the grow room (NOT NEEDED!)

So to keep things equal, not including the electrical cost of running and cooling the lights you would spend $199 out of pocket over three years for a “Mother’s Lil Helper“, $199 vs. $510.

So it boils down to this, if you buy a “Mother’s Lil Helper” you will get a better quality light fixture that will provide your plants with a better quality light for about one third the startup cost of a T5 unit and monthly operating expenses that will cost you less than 25% to run vs. a T5 light and it’s not just about saving money, your plants will be happier, grow better/stronger and yield more.

So you save a bunch of money at the time of purchase and continue saving money every single month you run them while getting better grow results, see why it was a no brainer to make the move?

Maine Medical Marijuana
But wait, there’s more! There’s another issue that I have yet to mentioned, safety… if you look closely at the picture above you will see a Spectrum King light that is turned on while it is being hosed down by water! If you have ever been around when a hot bulb exploded because it was hit by mist or water droplets while a grower was spraying plants, it is truly a very scary and dangerous situation.

You can watch the video of the light being drenched by following this link, its a pretty impressive demonstration (https://youtu.be/JS5YsFnwdMI?t=1m40s).

Maine Medical Marijuana
I could go on about why we can’t wait for these lights to arrive and why I think anyone looking to purchase lights needs to run, not walk, over to Spectrum King to get your lights and I strongly suggest you do it sooner rather than later as I don’t know how long this crazy sale will last.
