Ladybugs, why they should be part of your marijuana grow…

Here’s episode 4 of “The Marijuana Minute“, in it we talk about ladybugs, why you should really have them as a regular part of your (indoor) marijuana grow room and how to keep them alive even when there are no other bugs for them to eat.

They are a very inexpensive insurance policy and you can get them on Amazon (we ordered 1500 of the girls for $6.50) and if/when you order them DO NOT select expedited shipping, even if you don’t have Amazon Prime (with the free 2 day shipping) the bugs will get to you in just 2-4 days. So save your money.

Here’s an image from our last order and out of the 1500 ladybugs I’d be surprised if the dead bugs added up to 25.

And here’s an image of the girls having a snack at our DIY “feeding station“.

Lastly, when you do add them to your grow room do it when your lights are off, this way the girls will “wake up” in their new environment. If they arrive while your lights are on you can store them in your frig (NOT freezer) until the lights go out. But it will do them no harm to released into your room when the lights on.

Look at what 100 watt light can do!…

A fan and friend “Smokin’ Dug” recently posted this video on YouTube to show how his grow went using just a single 100 watt Closet Case LED grow light from Spectrum King.

One word really does sum it up, “un-freaking-believable!“.

Though we are not at all surprised because we own these lights too well and have been amazed at how well our plants have responded since the very first day we plugging them in. They are much thicker plant with shorter internodal spacing and more overall growth, check out our previous post comparing our clones grown under T5 lights vs. Spectrum King LED.(https://youtu.be/5_ol6s2CSjQ).

Spectrum King also gave me some information to share with you, if you are a military veteran Spectrum King wants to say “THANK YOU” for your service by giving you discount on your purchase. Two things, first – you must have proof of your military service (that you are in fact a veteran), second – you can’t use the discount on sale items. So if you are a veteran and would like to save 15% off the best LED lights on the market gather up your discharge papers and give them a call.

We have roots!…

ROOTS! It’s the sweet sign of success. After what feels like forever you can finally exhale when you see that all the time and effort you put into “creating a new life” has finally paid off!

I love my job.

More marijuana garden pictures from our readers…

Folks have been sharing more of their marijuana garden pictures over on our Facebook page. Here are a few, but head over to Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/MaineSeedlings) and check out the rest of the images and maybe share some pictures of your garden? Inside our outside, doesn’t matter, we would love to see them.

This first image is Kush, being harvested in week 5.

A beautiful example of Kush!

Below your (marijuana) grow…

If you look at the bottom 20-25% of your grow, this is exactly what you should find:

The bottom of your marijuana plants
You shouldn’t find anything here, zero, zilch, nada! Why? Because nothing good ever happens here! Chances are you won’t get any usable medicine but I promise that if you get powdery mildew it will get its start here in “no mans land” and by the time you see it it’ll be too late.

And disease prevention is not the only benefit you’ll get from “pot scaping“, because nothing on the bottom means more on the top (these really are the tops of the trimmed plants pictured above)!

If you trim the bottom you will fatten the top!
The hairs of this Cheese from 710 genetics are starting to brown…. the end is near!

Keep in mind that it’s never too late to start landscaping the scrub from the bottom of your plants, so next time you are in your garden take a look below and take no prisoners!

Lastly, it would appear that the word for today (and my favorite) is “Phenomenal“.

This episode is shorter than last time but doubt we will ever get an episode down to one minute, so maybe we should change the name to “A Few Marijuana Minutes“.
