Update on our Soul Nutrients from Roots Organic…

Maine Marijuana

We are on the downhill side of this flower cycle (just a few weeks to go), but what’s got us excited about harvesting this grow (besides the Chocolope) is that we are using the Soul Nutrients line for the very first time.

As I had mentioned in the first post, we have never made a “wholesale” nutrient change in one of our grows before (it’s always just a little tweaking here and a little tweaking there) but we figured what the heck, “no risk, NO REWARD” and we have seen nothing but reward.

The proof will come at harvest time but I can say that our plants look outstanding (both in size and in health), the 12 flowering plants in this hydro cycle appear better than anything we’ve grown in the past (though we have grown these strain before). Seriously. We are really looking forward to harvest.

This pretty little bud is from a Chocolope that is part of this grow:

We flower under HPS (high pressure sodium) lights so the color on the video is off (to say the least), I will re-shoot this with a proper filter (or lighting) in the near future so that you can see the true color and vibrancy of these plants.

Life below the trellis…

What it should look like below the #trellis, ‘cuz I swear, nothin’ #good EVER happens down there!

Keep it #trimmed.

Its a little work that I promise will pay you a HUGE dividend!

Growers use and review Mites & Mildew…

The folks over at Mites & Mildew were kind enough to send us samples of their product to share with our followers to use and review. So as soon as the bottles came in we shipped them right back out to Maine cannabis growers for them to test.

Mites and Mildew Washout

Here are what two of them have had to say, first we hear from Brandon Cook:

“History:

I upgraded from a standard hood and open vent to a cool tube and closed vent system. The grow I was having a problem with was in a 4’X2′ tent. Based on my research, it was the lack of moving air caused a white powdery mildew (WPM) to form. I tried hand cleaning with water and even trimming effected leaves with no avail. I finally got some neem oil and that seemed to work, but only short term as the WPM re-appeared. The plants affected initially have been harvested.

Since this time, I have enlarged my grow room to a 11’ X 6’ area with both a veg and flower section. My flower room is about 4’X6’. I now have a two-section vent exhaust system and two fans (one moving air in each room). I again noticed some minor WPM forming on some fan leaves in my flower room but thankfully have seen nothing in my veg room at this time.

I saw the post for the Mites & Mildew on Maine Seedlings and asked to be part of the review process and was happy when my bottle arrived in the mail!

Test Tracking, pictures and notes

4.13.17 received product and mixed 15ml per 24oz spray bottle based on mix instructions included. Very easy to mix and apply.

4.13.17 – cleaned one leaf as test. Very easy to use – picture taken

4.14.17 – Cleansing did no visible harm to leaf and it seems to be cleaner. I plan on expanding treatment with the Mites & Mildew to the other effected leaves tonight – morning picture taken.

4.14.17 – cleaned all of the infected leaves. Most towards the inner leaves and pictures don’t show the it all. Evening pictures to follow.

At this this point all affected leaves have been treated and remain WPM free, I am VERY happy with the results.”

Thank you Brandon for taking he time to let us know hw things went, greatly appreciated.

And this response/review is from Weezie who also received a free sample of Mites & Mildew:

“I received it and started using it immediately and works great, powdery mildew is gone and I’ve not seen it since… Thank you so very much!!!”

If you’d like to learn more about Mites & Mildew head over to their website and while we’re at it here’s a link to their Instagram account as well.
